Project Life (End of 2010!)

Whew! This is the last installment of Project Life for 2010. . . and for the foreseeable future. It has been fun to record the little moments, and I will continue to notice and photograph those things, but I'm burned out on the whole one-photo-per-day exercise. Jessica Turner at The Mom Creative is continuing the weekly link-up into 2011, and I look forward to reading hers and other folks' that continue PL. (And don't worry, The Parsonage Family will still feature plenty of adorable Kate pics--just not in PL format.)

So without further ado, here was the last week of 2010 (can you believe it?)

Monday 12/27: Nala and Popi left today, after spending Christmas with us at our house. They really enjoyed all the time they got to spend with Kate, reading and roughhousing, playing outside and with toys.

Tuesday 12/28: I went to a reception celebrating my former boss' wedding. It was fun to see him and his new bride, as well as other colleagues and acquaintances I don't see socially all that often! Here's a snippet of their lovely invitation.

Wednesday 12/29: I took several vacation days this week, and we began the potty training process (update on that to come). Kate spent much of the week running around the house in just her pajama top or a t-shirt and cloth training pants on the bottom. She was quite a silly sight, especially with her new interest in hair-accessorization. She often wants to wear a bunch of hairbows all at once. She doesn't care how many different colors there are, but she'll wear all we have in one particular size/style--so at least it's not as haphazard as it could be!

Thursday 12/30: This was one of the days I worked, and Granna and Opa came up to play with Kate at our house so they could enjoy the new play kitchen. Granna brought her sewing machine to fix several of Daddy's pants, and Kate was just fascinated by the activity!

Friday, 12/31: Farewell to 2010! We drove up to Louisville in order to attend the January 3 inaugural events for the new mayor and new metro council members like my dad! Spending New Year's Eve in Louisville (while Nala and Popi kept Kate), Matt and I went to see a movie (The King's Speech--amazing!) and then counted down to midnight at a bar, where we played trivia. Forgive the poor quality of these cell phone pics--we were enjoying a totally low-key New Year's!

I hope your 2011 is off to a terrific start. We just got back from Louisville earlier today, and it's back to the old grind tomorrow. Kate's birthday is in just a few weeks, though, so the fun and festivities will continue. Many blessings for the new year!
