We're Marching for Becca!

You might remember Kate's friend Becca from our playdate in January. Becca was born early--really early. As in three months early. Born weighing only 13 ounces and measuring 9.5 inches long, she is the smallest baby ever to survive in the state of Tennessee and she's one of the smallest in the world. She's now going on 22 months old and is still "itty bitty" for her age, but she's growing and thriving and gaining new skills all the time with the help of her awesome parents (both United Methodist pastors!) and a whole posse of therapists. Read more of their story at their blog, Life with Our Itty Bitty Baby Girl.

On April 18, Matt, Kate, and I are walking in the March of Dimes' March for Babies at Centennial Park in Nashville to show support and help raise money for the March of Dimes' work funding research on prematurity prevention and treatment, education to help women have healthy, full-term births, advocacy for better access to prenatal health care, and more.
Will you support the "Kelleys for Becca" as we walk with Itty Bitty Becca's Team? Please consider it. We are so thankful to have had a healthy, full-term (and a little more) pregnancy with Kate, and to have taken her home promptly with no NICU stay, no agonizing nights wondering if she would live or die. Some parents are not so fortunate, and we want to help more babies be born healthy.
Our family goal is $500, and we're 20% of the way there. Will you help us?

Your post brought tears to my eyes - and I already know our story. I particularly love the phrase "posse of therapists." I'm going to have to use that one. Thanks for posting and thanks for your support - this month and along the way!
