I wanted Kate to wear her cute crochet hat with the flower on it
(which she usually takes off the moment I put it on).
Kate wanted to wear her water shoes
(which, needless to say, are out of season and unnecessary in late October).
She wore the hat for about two minutes, and I was pleased enough.
She wore the water shoes for over an hour...
including a trip to Target.
Eh, you win some, you lose some.
